Geraldine "Geri" Rose Morris

Geri grew up on a farm in Ignacio, Colorado, tending to her many chores with her many siblings. After graduating from Ignacio High School in 1969, she worked at many different High-Tech Firms during the 80’s and 90’s. She then moved on to work as a Retail salesclerk until retirement. Between graduating High School and starting her professional career, she moved to the Denver area in 1971.

Shortly before moving to Longmont in 2003, she married the love of her life Scott Morris on June 7th, 1986. Together they raised their wonderful family, with her son and daughter from her first marriage and later helped raise their granddaughter.

During Geri’s free time she cared for the family she was deeply devoted to. Her children, grandchildren, and family and friends came first even as she got sick. She cared deeply and wanted to help in any possible way she could. Her family describes her full of love and life. She especially shared a very deep relationship with her granddaughter Katelin, and then her great granddaughter Corinne. When she had a moment to herself, she spent it tending to her large garden full of beautiful flower beds, she also spent it quilting, coloring and crafting.

Geri is preceded in death by her parents Joe Neil and Ethel Neil (Wagner), her brother Ron Neil.

She is survived by her devoted husband Scott Morris, children Danny Potter (Robin) and Marlinda Potter, grandchildren Katelin Jones (Dylan), great granddaughter Corinne Jones, and her siblings Lavern Jensen, Stan Neil (Patricia), Randy Neil, Leonard Neil (Vangie), Bruce Neil (Jodi). Perry Neil (Georgeanna), Raymond Neil (Sarah).

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary & Crematory located at 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary of Longmont, Colorado. A reception will follow the funeral service at Howe Mortuary.
