Gilbert Anthony Allarid

Gilbert Anthony Allarid, 67, of Longmont, died October 17, 2019 at his home. He was born February 28, 1952 in Denver, Colorado to Erline Viola (Maes) and Gabriel Allarid. After his high school graduation, he went on to attend college and receive his Bachelor’s degree. Gilbert’s working career was that of a financial analyst.

In his free time Gilbert loved hiking, climbing 14er’s, fishing and simply being outdoors. He also loved music, his family and spending time with his grandchildren. The world would be a better place if there were more guys like Gilbert, who helped, accepted and loved everyone.

Surviving are his wife Martha Vicki Allarid of Longmont; his sons Gilbert Benavides of Longmont, Norman Naranjo of Del Norte, CO , Nelson Naranjo of Longmont and Timothy Allarid of Denver, CO: his daughters Victoria Allarid (Alan Vargas) of Longmont, Cathleen Hindman (Samuel) of Longmont and Sarah Allarid of Longmont. He is further survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and his brother Ronn Miera of Brighton, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Antonio Miera and his siblings Jimmy Maes, George Allarid, Margaret Allarid and Patricia Allarid-Gonzales.

Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. A reception will follow the services.
