Gloria Jeanne Monsma

Gloria Jeanne Monsma, age 77 went peacefully to her heavenly home on November 21, 2022. Gloria was born on February 10,1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Richard and Jeanne Monsma. Gloria graduated from Grand Rapids Junior College in 1966 with a Practical Nursing degree. Caring for others was Gloria's passion as was exhibited throughout her life. She moved to Colorado with two good friends, who were also nurses, in 1971. All three girls, worked at Boulder Community Hospital. In 1988, Gloria moved back to Michigan and worked at a Senior Living Community, and then in a Doctor's office. She also did some private duty nursing for an elderly couple until she so faithfully cared for our parents, during their final walk on earth.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Richard Gregg Monsma. She is survived by her sister Joy (Ray) Grundy, nieces Michelle (Daren) Faye of Longmont, Kelly (Joel) Born of Kalamazoo, Michigan, nephews, Mark (Lea) Grundy of Westcliffe, CO., Brian (Denise) Monsma of Nashville, Illinois and Jeremy Monsma of Arvada, CO.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gloria's name to Longmont Community Foundation at 600 Kimbark St. Longmont, CO. 80501, which supports the Hover Community. The celebration of Gloria's life will take place on Tuesday, December 27, at 11 am at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
