Grace Leigh Koldeway (Powell)

Grace was born on November 4, 1964 in Charlottesville, Virginia to Clarence Powell and Roselee Jones Powell. On October 25, 1980, she married Joseph Koldeway in Biloxi, Mississippi. They soon moved to Colorado, where they have resided since 1981.

Grace worked for C.P.S. Distribution Center, where she worked in many capacities. She kept the books for her and Joe’s business, as well. Her first joy, however was motherhood, raising her children and more recently quality time with her grandchildren. Always the “young” mom, she was actively leading her children in events, projects and outings.

Grace enjoyed keeping her home and especially working outside. She and Joe spent countless hours landscaping, gardening and keeping their yard beautiful.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

Surviving are her husband Joe of Longmont; sons Jeremy (Kari) Koldeway of Longmont; and Nick Koldeway of Longmont; sisters Jane (Spencer Church) Powell and Patty Powell both of Asheboro, North Carolina; brothers Andy (Kimberly) Powell and Chip (Christy) Powell both of Charlottesville, Virginia and two grandchildren Alex and Dylan Koldeway. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the Church.
