Helen Carroll Jacobson

Carroll Jacobson died Monday Sept. 19, 2016. She was a country girl at heart, born Sept. 26, 1922 in Parkville, MO, the daughter of Gladys Knight and Otto Klamm. She became a bookkeeper for Peabody Coal and watched the construction of the St. Louis Arch from her office window. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Jacobson, whom she married in 1965. They moved from Columbus, Ohio to Longmont in 1967. This lovely and loving woman will be greatly missed by her friends and surviving family, daughter and son-in-law Karen and Barry Poulson and their children Anne Poulson of Fort Collins and Kristen Lewis of Longmont and son and daughter-in-law Gary and Ruth Jacobson and their children: Mike and Brigitte Jacobson of Baltimore, Eric and Nancy Jacobson of Indianapolis, Christopher Jacobson of New York City and Kara and Dale Morella of Denver, as well as her 11 great-grandchildren. Her remains will be interred at Ryssby Cemetery in Longmont and Rosehilll Cemetery in Shabbona, Illinois with those of her husband.Her life will be celebrated at an informal tea at the Atria in Longmont, 2310 9th Ave, Longmont, CO 80503 at 1:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016.
