Howard Andrew Salman

Howard had a BS, MS in Biochemistry from Oregon State University. He began his career with the Bureau of Reclamation in 1966 as an Analytical Chemist in the Denver Chemistry Laboratory. In 1974 he was appointed supervisor of the Chemistry Lab.

In 1982 Howard Salman married Sharon Salman and brought together their 8 children.

In 1986 and 1987 Howard and his wife Sharon lived in Saudi Arabia where he helped set up the Research and Development Center for Desalination Program in Al Jubail.

Howard retired after 27 years with the Federal Government in 1993 and he and Sharon pursued their passions of travel, remodeling homes, and later owned and operated two assisted living homes in Hugo and later, Craig, Colorado, where they helped many seniors and their families with eldercare.

His interests included chemistry, construction, science, swimming, and he was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. Howard loved playing cards with his grandchildren.

Howard Salman is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Sharon; His sister Kay Sieliff; Son, Chris Salman and Chris’ wife Teresa; Grandson Brandon Salman, his wife Taylor, and their daughter Luna; Granddaughter, Amanda Byars, her husband Matt, and their children Haley, Madison, and Brynlee; Son Jeff Salman, his wife Melanie, and their children Mateo, and Adrianna; Daughter Renee Manske and her children Amber and Derek; Stepdaughter Kim Dietz, her husband Mike; Grandson Gus Mircos, his wife Amanda and their son Max; Grandsons Bryce and Cole Dietz; Stepson Trae King, his wife Liz and their children Trapper and Tyler King; Stepdaughter Karen Yaden and her husband Allen; Stepdaughter Kathy Lovely, her husband Torgun, and their children Hannah and Mathias; Stepson Lance King and his children Drew and Sam; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ethel Salman and his brother Wayne Salman.
