James J. Burrell 5/1/1956-11/19/2008James (Jim) Burrell passed away in Longmont on November 19, 2008 after a long illness. He was 52. Originally from the east coast, Jim graduated from Beverly High School in Beverly, Massachusetts. He and his wife of 28 years, Monika, moved to Longmont in 1979. Jim is survived by his wife Monika and his three daughters, Katy, Alison, and Courtney; his brother, Stephen (Tracey) Burrell; sisters, Kristen (Jeff) Burrell-Morin, and Cynthia Griffin. He also leaves his beloved granddaughter, Alyssa; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Jim was the loving son of Joseph and Frances Burrell who preceded him in death. Throughout his life Jim always worked in the automotive and motorcycle industries. He especially enjoyed motorcycle runs for charitable causes. After a private memorial service, a celebration of Jim's life will be held at the family home at 2 pm on Saturday, November 22, for friends and family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jim Burrell Memorial Fund to help with Jim's medical expenses. Arrangements were made by Howe Mortuary.
