

James D. Taylor, III “Jamie”, 50, of Longmont, passed away on July 23, 2013 at TRU Community Care Hospice in Louisville Colorado, after a 6 month battle with Lymphoma. He was born July 18, 1963 in Denver, CO to Rebecca (Knaus) and James D. Taylor, Jr. He was a 1981 graduate of Longmont High School and a member of Summit Foursquare Church. On January 6, 1990 he married Lorrie A. Bristor in Longmont.
Jamie joined the Nixcavating team at the age of 20. He enjoyed his employment there and became a trusted employee and later a supervisor for the local excavating company. He loved the outdoors, spending as much free time as he could fishing and an annual elk hunting trip. He was a proud member of the NRA. His four granddaughters had become his true joy, spending as much time with them as possible.
Surviving are his wife Lorrie Taylor of Longmont, his son Ryan (Kathryn) Gooden of Longmont and his daughters Heather Taylor of Longmont and Kadey (Ruben) Vite of Denver. He is further survived by his parents James (Robbie) Taylor, Jr. of Meridian, Idaho and Rebecca (Lance) Carmean of Broomfield, four granddaughters: Lilly Gooden, Lyla Gooden, Ava Taylor and Zoie Vite; his brother Jon (Kiersti) Taylor of Berthoud and his sister Jesse Taylor of Spokane, Washington. Jamie is also survived by his in-laws Joyce (Mike) Kovac of Longmont.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at the Summit Foursquare Church in Longmont with Pastor Ben Eige officiating.
