Born on June 27, 1933 in O’Neill, NE the son of John J. Harrington and Bernice Shane Harrington, James grew up in Chicago, IL where he met his wife Carol. They then moved to Minneapolis, MN then Cerritos, CA and finally to Longmont, CO. He was a manager for several major trucking companies. He was a Korean Army Veteran and was proud to serve his country, and was a member of the honor guard for the Longmont American Legion. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Preceded in death by his wife Carol, who passed away on December 1, 2002. He is survived by his children, Eileen Stenzel, Patrick Harrington and Maureen Harrington; his grandchildren, Katherine and Phillip Stenzel; his brother John Harrington; sisters Maxine Fraber and Marleen Berigan.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, at the Howe Mortuary, Longmont.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
