Jim was born in Arapahoe NB. While serving in the Air Force he met wife Beverly in Colorado Springs. After the Air Force they spent a short time in Reno NV where Jim started some business classes. Over 60 years ago they moved to Boulder where he graduated From CU with a bachelor degree in business. His first jobs all involved real estate. When not working for others he was always starting up his own companies. These ultimately led to land development and Tull Construction Company. Residential was his main focus and the first large development was Centaur Village in Lafayette. He was the creator for more neighborhoods in the Gunbarrel/Niwot area and Ft. Collins. He developed a mountain lake area around Ward that now has some beautiful homes around it. With agricultural and farmlands north to Greeley and east toward Hudson and I-80 Jim started his own sod farm and even a cattle ranch with over 300 head of cattle. Jim enjoyed golf and played in a few Pro/Am tournaments once called the Bob Hope Desert Classic. He helped finish/upgrade two churches he belonged to in the Boulder area. Family always came first but he had great passion for his alma maters football program, the CU Buffaloes. He was a Buff Club member and huge supporter of the team. He was friends with many of the coaches and staff throughout the athletic department. He hired football players through his various companies, job sites and mainly the cattle ranch. Many a young collegian looked up to Jim as a kind, funny and successful role model. He took family and friends to away games, bowls and went to all home games as long as he was capable. He always was generous through thick and thin. His family was all around sharing and talking of their love and mutual admiration the last week of his amazing life.
Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Kirk and Jami and grandchildren, Madison Claire and Christian Randal all of Boulder.
