Jane Catherine Murphy

Jane was born on March 28th, 1929, in Chicago, IL to John and Minnie Broderick. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Gen McCormick, Dorthea Reineke, Mary Broderick, Robert Broderick, Jack Broderick, and Jim Broderick. Along with her husband Raymond Murphy.

Jane and Raymond were married on November 15th, 1952, after she moved to Denver in 1950.

Jane graduated from Visitation High School in Chicago, IL. After high school she worked as a telephone operator, school bus driver and a homemaker where she lovingly raised her children.

Jane was a loving wife, mother and sibling, she was especially close to her sisters. Through her life she made many lifelong friends, including many in her church family which she adored. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church where she devoted her life to God as a Roman Catholic.

Another one of her favorite things in life was horses, they were her first love; she enjoyed hundreds of trail rides and horse camping. She was riding horses all the way until 91 years old. In between horse rides Jane also enjoyed raising German Shepherds for over 50 years.

Jane is survived by her children Diane (Ron) Stevens, Dan (Carrie) Murphy, Ginny (Mike) Lefever, and Tim Murphy. Her grandchildren Justin (Suzette) Kelley, James Kelley, Shane (Michelle) Lefever, Michael (Katie) Lefever, Tanner Murphy, Rachel Murphy, Nicholas Murphy, Kate Murphy. Her great grandchildren Alexandra Kelley- Nelson, Skylar Kelley, Quinn Kelley, Lincon Lefever, Wyatt Lefever, Theodore Lefever. She is further survived by many of her dear friends at church and all those who came to know and love her.

Rosary prayers will be held on Tuesday January 14, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church located at 109 3rd street, Mead Colorado 80542. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Following mass a reception will be held. At 2:00 p.m. Jane will be laid to rest with her husband Raymond at Mountain View Cemetery located at 620 11th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jane’s honor to Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Mead, Colorado.
