Jean E Carlson

JEAN ELAIN CARLSON,age 81, passed away on January 10, 2018. Jean was born July 2, 1936 on a farm near Longmont, Colorado. She spent her whole life in central Colorado. Even though Jean suffered from a severe brain injury from birth, she worked enough to support herself. Her first major job was with a Boulder County Organization that provided work for her and another woman that lived together in an apartment. When Jean reached the age of 65 years old, she was transferred under the coverage of the IMAGINE Organization. They provided a family for her to live with. They also provided various daytime workshops that they could attend. When her health deteriorated to a point she was transferred to the Nursing home at The Villas at Sunny Acres where she passed away on January 10, 2018. Jean was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Frederick and Evelyn Carlson, and her brother Frederick G. Carlson. She is survived by her Brother Richard, her Sister Claire , eight nephews, and four nieces.

A short celebration of her life will be held graveside at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery at 11:00 am on Monday, January 22, 2018
