

Jean was born in Old Town, Maine. On June 28th, 1944. She graduated from the U. of ME at Fort Kent with a degree in Education and received her Masters degree from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. Jean started her teaching career in Limestone, ME and went on to teach in California and for the St. Vrain Valley School District where she retired in 2001. She married Bruce Kinney. They later divorced.
Jean was a master quilter and loved to golf, camp, cook and travel the world.
Jean was predeceased by her parents John and Bernadette St. Peter, of Eagle Lake, ME. She is survived by her partner William Veach, sisters Betty Madore of Van Buren,ME and Donna Geiger and husband Jim of Long Island, N.Y. and brother Thomas St. Peter and wife Patricia of Eagle Lake, ME and many nieces and nephews
In 1999 she met her life partner William Veach. Together they enjoyed wintering in Mesa, AZ and being around family and friends. Jean loved her step family, and became known as grandma and great grandma. She will be greatly missed by Kathy Crowder, Norma Veach, Bill (Randa ) Veach and grandchildren Nick (Carey) Moschetti, Aaron (Ashlie) Crowder and Karina (Shaun) Crowder. Taya, Braylon, Benjamin, Calvin were her great grandchildren that she readily and happily held in her loving arms. She treated her step family with the love in knowing that she was ours, and we were hers. Jean was a wonderful friend and a huge part of our family. We enjoyed our annual family get togethers in Florida, Colorado and Arizona, where love was in abundance. Her beautiful smile, bright eyes, easy laugh and loving nature will always remain in our hearts and our memories of this sweet woman.
