Jean Reynolds

Jean Reynolds, of Longmont, Colorado, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at Berthoud Living Center. She was 81 years old.Jean was born August 5, 1925 in Selkrik, Manitoba, Canada, the youngest of nine children born to Michael and Mary (Dennsuik) Kashuba. She married Boris Micholosky in Canada, but they were later divorced. On October 1, 1976, she married Kenneth Reynolds in California. The couple made their home in Anaheim, California before moving to Colorado in 1991.She worked for many years as a professional seamstress and was especially proud of her work on uniforms for various professional sports teams and costumes.Jean appreciated the mountains of Colorado as well as its wide-open spaces. She found joy in the simple act of walking her dogs in the fresh air. Most of all, she enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Reynolds of Longmont; her son, Bill Micholosky and his wife, Denise, of Longmont; her daughter, Patricia Thibodeaux and her husband, Pete, of Cypress, California; two grandsons, Weslan and Alek Micholosky; and by her nephews, Kyle Ziegler of Longmont; Raymond Kashuba and his wife, Debbie, of Lockport, Manitoba, and Terry Kashuba and his daughters, Kristen and Ashley, of Selkrik, Manitoba. She is further survived by several family members in Texas including Karen Sharp and her husband, JJ, Jason Sharp, and Elizabeth Kaszynski and her husband, George, and their daughter, Sarah.She was preceded in death by her parents; by three brothers, Steve, Joe and George; and by five sisters, Anne, Eileen, Sylvia, Connie and Victoria.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont. A memorial open house to celebrate her life will be held at the home of Bill and Denise Micholosky, 3130 Captains Lane, Longmont, on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m.Memorials may be made to the Longmont Humane Society, 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, CO 80501.
