

Jeremy was born on June 23, 1983 to Valerie Hayne Scott and Larry Scott in Denver. He graduated from Broomfield High School in 2002 where he was active in the school bands.
Jeremy was married to Sarah Rusch on May 30, 2009 at the Hygiene United Methodist Church.
Jeremy worked in law enforcement, where he was a security officer for prisons in northern Colorado.
Jeremy had many and varied interests. He was an avid reader, especially enjoying history. From those skills, he became an accomplished trivia expert, frequenting contests in the area. He was an expert marksman, proficient in both rifle and handgun shooting. He also was strong at archery. A gift in art, he spent quiet hours peacefully drawing and sketching. He enjoyed singing and was quick to grab the microphone at karaoke clubs and parties.
Preceding him in death is his grandfather Ralph Hayne.
Surviving are his wife of Ft. Lupton; mother and father of Broomfield; grandmother Alice Hayne of Longmont; uncles Mark (Lori) Hayne; Ralph (Susie) Hayne; Randy (Rosemary) Scott; Steve (Julie) Scott; and David (Susan) Scott all of Colorado; In-laws Jeff and April Rusch of Brighton; brother and sister in law Jeffrey Rusch and Wendy (Miguel) Molina and numerous nieces and cousins.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 10 at the Hygiene Methodist Church. Family encourages you to wear black, as that was Jeremy’s favorite color.
