

He graduated from Waynesville High School in Missouri and continued his education at Regis University in Colorado. Jerry proudly served his country for many years, first in the United States Navy from June 1959 until January 1974, and later with the Colorado Army National Guard from November 1978 until September 1995. He retired from military service in September 1995, concluding a long and honorable career.
In 1980, Jerry moved to the Longmont area from Denver, Colorado, where he made his home and built lasting connections. He found joy in woodworking and was passionate about teaching martial arts, sharing his knowledge, discipline, and skills with others.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Mary Jackson; his brothers, John Jackson and Tom Jackson; and his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Hiatt.
He is survived by his first wife, Marilyn Jackson of Firestone, Colorado; his son, Tod Jackson of Mead, Colorado; his daughter, Heather Lamb of Firestone, Colorado; his sisters, Mary Abbot of Warsaw, Indiana and Peggy Rouse of McMinnville, Oregon; and his grandchildren: Michael Lamb of Firestone, Colorado; Amber Jackson of Johnstown, Colorado; Ashleigh Lamb of Firestone, Colorado; Emily Jackson of Mead, Colorado; and Callie Lamb of Firestone, Colorado. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Ron Lamb of Firestone, Colorado, and his daughter-in-law, Stacey Jackson of Mead, Colorado.
Jerry will be remembered for his dedication to family, service to his country, and the skills and discipline he shared with those around him.
