JoAnn was born in Price, Utah on February 8, 1959 and lived the majority of her life in Longmont, Colorado. JoAnn graduated from Longmont High School and attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University before graduating from Metro State College in Denver. JoAnn enjoyed a long career as a fraud detection specialist at Premier Members Credit Union, a job that matched her skill sets and which she excelled at.
JoAnn loved to travel and enjoyed the time spent working on diamond paintings. But her first love was singing. She had perfect pitch and loved to sing a variety of music on all sorts of different occasions. She occasionally performed country-rock music professionally in local venues.
JoAnn loved the Colorado mountains. For many years JoAnn loved kidnapping her nieces during their Spring Break to spend a Spring-time week in the Colorado mountains.
With JoAnn’s passing, both Donny Osmond and Cliff Richard have lost their #1 fan.
JoAnn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had very strong faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and found strength in knowing that her Heavenly Father had a plan for her as she journeyed through her mortal existence.
JoAnn is survived by her father Charles Palmer, her brother John (Lisa), and by three nieces; Robyn, Crystal, and Autumn. JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother Erma Palmer, her brother Robert, and sisters Holly and Rebecca.
JoAnn was a positive, loving person who left a mark in the heart of everyone she met.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.howemortuary.com for the Palmer family.
