

He was born at home in Monroe, MI on October 10, 1939. He grew up and graduated from Airport Community High School in Carelton, MI. Upon graduating from high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. He had a thirty-two-year career with United Airlines as a storekeeper and had enjoyed retirement since 2001.
He had been a proud member of Carbon Valley Lutheran Church for the past several years and had been fondly enjoying making numerous new friends through his church family.
He had a great love for hiking, reading, music and travel.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol of Frederick, CO, four natural children, Ricka Burke (Brent) of Thomaston, GA, Lanette Heckel (Matt) of Littleton, CO, Johnny Freimark of Harrison, AR and Jimmy Freimark (Misty) of Brush, CO; two step daughters, Jennifer Lomeli of Blackhawk, CO and Janis Morgan of Mountain City, TN; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, sisters Rosalie Dile of Mount Washington, KY, Judith Jonas (Hal) Atlanta, MI, and brother Kenneth Freimark (Cindy) of Milan, MI, also numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father Ervin, mother Ricka, brother Ervin, sister Shirley and former spouse Marion Dunkley.
His memorial service will be at Carbon Valley Lutheran Church at 10916 Cimmaron in Firestone, CO, with inurnment at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
