Johnny was a special man. It gave us joy to watch his delight with his favorite treats like"iced tea", and his music ("HEY, JUDE!")  His excitement to spend time with family was touching to see. And his love for Leif was boundless. We miss him alot. Friday nights at "Leif's mom's" will never be the same. Praying peace and comfort to all who loved him!

Uncle Johnny, I have been thinking about memories of you I want to share. I remember when I was younger going with my mom and dad to visit you, or you getting to come visit us all whenever we had a family gathering. I remember how excited you were about dessert and soda. I remember how much love you always always had for my dad and your brothers. I most remember how much love and joy you had when you were with your mom and how much grandma loved you. one Thanksgiving when I still lived in Johnstown I had the honor of having you and grandma at my house for dinner I know I took pics but I could not find them and that makes me sad, I will always remember the simple happiness you had every time you were around. You were just happy to be with your family. You leave behind a  legacy…if we all can love as you did we’d all be better for it. Give grandma and Richie big hugs for me. Be at peace until we meet again❤️love you

John, I love you and miss you and I’m sad that you are gone. You brought so much joy into our lives. You had such a sweet spirit and you were so trusting and childlike. Thank you for being so fun to spend time with. Thank you for wanting to be a part of our family. Thank you for hanging out with us and playing cards every night during covid. You taught me a lot about life. You taught me to be grateful for the little things like iced tea, listening to solid gold oldies, or getting to see Leif’s mom. You would get so excited and share whenever you had eaten cake, muffins, ice-cream, or coke. You were so resilient. Whatever life threw at you, you adapted and overcame. You are an example to me in so many ways. 

I love when you sat with me in the kitchen and were my “kitchen helper.” You always waited so patiently for the food to cook. I love how you pointed out the light in any room we were in. I love how you waved with your hand moving up and down instead of side to side. I love the twinkle that was regularly in your eye. Your smile was contagious. When you were happy, your entire face lit up. I love how you would make yourself laugh. I love when you would pull your lips apart real wide, it was my favorite dance move! I love how you would do somersaults for no reason at all. I love how friendly you were and how you would always reach out to greet people and say hello. I love the game we would play where you would say, “Leif,” and I would say “Johnny Bean,” and you would say “Leif,” and we would keep going. It always ended with me saying, “You love Leif,” and you saying, “Yeah” and me responding with,”He loves you too.” I love all of your facial expressions. You were the cutest and our favorite little Beany. Thanks for letting us share life with you. I’m so thankful I had the privilege of getting to know you.

One of the songs our sister Lavina and brothers use to sing, with eachothers name in it, made you smile... which included your eyes.

I still sing it. 

I loved when we were younger with our brother Rutledge and sometimes with other brothers too. We would take you cruising around. Get ice cream and Pepsi. You laughed when we were little and I knocked over the christmas tree.
You laughed when Jeff let you and me into the spahgetti and he told mom we were hungry. When mom scolded one of us, you laughed and when your sister Cheri  scolded one of my boys Mitch or Kyle.. you grinned.

Every memory from the last 14 years has you in it, little buddy. You were my whole World and without you it feels empty. I loved spending time with you. I miss you walking over and sitting on the floor by the kitchen while I cooked, smiling up at me and talking. I miss hearing you sing to solid gold oldies and seeing you smile and say "happy today" after you drank an iced tea. I miss hearing you say "good morning" every day. I miss hearing you say "Leifs mom" with that sweet smile on your face. You were a precious soul. We were symbiotic you and I, two peas in a pod Karen called us and going on without you is hard. I will miss you forever, thank you for sharing life with me.

The day I met you, we became best buddies. I've loved you every day since you came into my life.  I love your brother, Tracy,  but you my buddy have a special piece of my heart that is only yours.  You made me a better human ,because you loved me.  I will love and miss you until I see you again.  Ice cream, pizza, spaghetti, pie and Pepsi...give our Mom's a kiss
