Beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away April 2, 2021 from a long battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. He was born to Joseph and Vivian Kelliher in Abilene Kansas. July 20, 1944. He grew up in Illinois. He graduated from Palatine High School in 1962. He then graduated from Milliken University in Illinois and Loyola University in Chicago. He earned his degree in dentistry. He entered the army and met Army nurse Lynn Kerr while they were stationed in Germany. Joe and Lynn got married in Basil, Switzerland in 1973. The couple moved to Denver before moving to Longmont in 1975. Joe practiced dentistry in a private practice until he retired in 2009 at age 65. Joe and Lynn built their own house on property East of Longmont where they enjoyed landscaping, gardening and planting flowers in the spring. Joe also enjoyed working on his tractor, mowing his lawn, sailing, golfing, fishing, camping, skiing, and pickle ball. Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife Lynn. Surviving are his children Kim and Kris, both of Longmont, Colorado, his brother Richard Kelliher, from Santa Barbara California, a sister Sandi Kelliher Topham and Bruce Topham of Wichita, Kansas, two nieces and five great nieces and nephews - all of them also in Kansas. Also, Lynn‘s family, Phyllis and Kirk Brown of York Pennsylvania, Deborah Kerr of Johnstown Pennsylvania, Terri and Dave Gallardy of Flinton Pennsylvania, two nieces and two nephews and six great nieces and nephews of Pennsylvania. Cremation was entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory. There was a flag ceremony during his memorial at Lynn and Joe’s residence. He is remembered by all.
