Josephine Ledford

Josephine Ledford, 89, died May 16, 2011 at her home in Big Elk Meadows. She was born April 29, 1922 in Montague, Texas to Angelo Lorenzo and Luigia Maria (Casi) Giuliani.Josephine married Walter Ledford on November 27, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan. They moved to the area in 1969 from Denver, Colorado.Josephine worked for the school district in Thornton, CO for ten years, she then worked for Gould/Parma for many years and then for STC until retirement.She loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. Taking care of all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone loved her spaghetti and meatballs and there was always enough for family and friends. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, son Lee Ledford, brothers Guisippe and Angelo, sisters Teresa, Pierinia, Maria Catherina, Maria (Mary), Virginnia and Laura and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Alfred Roberts (Carmella), Paul Ledford and Mark Ledford, daughters, MaryJo Roberts, Marlayne Nissen (Robin), and Laurie Scearce (Ben), sister Francis, grandchildren Mercy (Ozzie), Bernadette, Megan, Shannon (Dave), Brandie (Tom), Michael, Shanae, Levi, Lee (Malissa), Savanah, Stacy (Garth), Nancy (Garth), Ali (Shawn), Johnathan, J (Jana), Joie, Jodi, and PJ, great-grandchildren Madison, Gage, CJ, Cody, Thomas, Cadence, Mason, Jessi, Garth Jr., Cheyenne, Clancey, Landon, Caden, Emily Rose, Taylor, Landyn, Sadey Jo, Marcus, Hannah, Sara, Ciera, PJ, Vanessa, Danny, Katy, Alex, Kali, Savannah and Lindsey.Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 27, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and can be sent to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
