

Joy Renee Dudley was born July 23, 1958 in Huntsville, Alabama. She passed away the morning of September 16, 2007 in her home at 49 years of age. She is survived by her father, Edward Denney and mother, Margie Slayton, and by Clint Dudley, devoted husband of 27 years, and their three children, Myke Hill, Justin Dudley and Carmen Dudley, and her newborn grandson, Julian Trevor Dudley. Joy, a renaissance woman with an entrepreneurial spirit, began her own business of selling crystals and designing jewelry out of semi-precious gems and stones in the 1980s. She was a healer and teacher who helped individuals around the world with her spiritual workshops, private classes, Reiki teachings, counseling practice and natural intuitive abilities. She was an ordained minister of the Church of Spiritual Science. Joy was a Reiki Master and was certified to teach the original Usui method of hands on healing. She also held certifications in a number of other healing modalities. Clint Dudley and Joy were married on March 21, 1980 in Estes Park, Colorado. The family moved from Lincoln, Nebraska in 1993 to Longmont, Colorado. During their 27 years of marriage, Clint and Joy enjoyed traveling the world together. Their devotion, love and loyalty to one another created a bond that will last for eternity. She was a committed and loving mother to her three children and made it a priority to pass on her knowledge and life lessons to them. Locally and abroad she was an inspiration and leader to many individuals in search of spiritual transcendence, self-help and personal fulfillment. A memorial service will be held at Howe Mortuary in Longmont at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2007.
