Joyce A Boylan

Joyce Ann Hart Boylan of Longmont, CO, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025. She was 88 years old. Joyce was born March 28, 1937, in Waverly, Iowa to Cecil and Lena (Thompson) Stoddard. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Marilyn.

Joyce married Larry Elwin Hart in Cedar Falls Iowa on May 6, 1956. They moved from Cedar Falls to Longmont in 1978. They moved from Longmont to Westminster in 1993. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2000 at the age of 63.

Joyce married Lee Edward Boylan on December 01, 2001 in Longmont, Colorado. Joyce and Lee moved to Longmont, Colorado in 2004.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1955. She worked as a legal secretary throughout her career. For years she volunteered at both the Longmont Humane Society and Longmont United Hospital. She enjoyed antiquing, reading, cooking, baking, quilting, bible study, playing mahjong with her lady friends, The Hallmark channel, and square dancing (in her younger years). She loved spending time with her grandchildren and getting to know her great-grandchildren. She looked forward to going to breakfast each morning and has always had a little lap dog(s).

She is survived by her spouse Lee Boylan her loving son and daughter, Ross (Alberta) Hart, and Elaine (Albert) Andrews. Grandson Rory Hart, Great-grandchild Lyris. Grandson Luke (Ryann) Hart, Great-grandchildren Chase and Cambrie, Granddaughter Lindsey (Sean) Esquivel, Great-granddaughter’s Adelina and Remington and Grandson Rudy Sutorius; she is survived by Alberta’s daughter, Crystal and was preceded in death by Alberta’s son Chad.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel located at 326 Terry Street, Longmont, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Longmont Humane Society.
