Julie Christine Stetson (Martinez)

Julie Christine Stetson beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother passed away on March 5, 2016 in Loveland, Colorado. Julie was born on May 18, 1964 to Ramon Gilbert Martinez and Margaret Arguello (Perez).

After attending college for a semester Julie held different positions at various companies. With the satisfaction she felt when she was able to help someone and her pleasant demeanor, she found customer service was what she was happiest at doing. She most recently worked at Hach Inc. where she truly loved her job and co-workers.

Family and friends were of extreme importance in Julie’s life. She enjoyed any type of event that would give her a chance to be with her family and friends to talk, laugh and reminisce about good times. Some of Julie’s favorite things included early morning drives with her husband around Carter Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park, playing with her grandchildren, playing tennis in the summer and working out or walking with friends. She especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with her with family and visiting the local antique shops and second hand stores for a great deal on anything that would catch her eye. When she would kick up her heels, dancing and karaoke were high on the list.

Julie was also very caring and would help people out in any way she could whether it was dropping food off for a friend, finding the owner of a stray dog, or giving to charitable donations. Her generosity, quick wit and infectious laughter were what her family and friends most loved about her.

Julie is survived by her Mother Margaret Arguello of Longmont, CO, Brother Ramon V. Martinez of Longmont, CO, husband Ronald L. Stetson, loving children Erika Sandoval (Travis) of Westminster, CO, Lea McGonigal (Ryan) of Loveland, CO and Ivana Prokes (Nathan) of Evans, CO and 3 grandchildren, Rebecka McGonigal, Nathan McGonigal, and Landen Lewis.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St. in Longmont, CO
