Katherine Cordelia Green

GREEN, Katherine C., 76, of Longmont, Colo. died Friday, August 04, 2006 at the Applewood Living Center in Longmont. Katherine was born on August 27, 1929 in Durant, Okla. to J. C. and Alta Potter. She grew up in Durant and attended Southeastern State College for two years. Katherine married Curtis L. Green on November 7, 1948 in Hugo, Okla. The family moved to Longmont in 1962. Katherine and her husband owned/operated Mr. Green?s Sausage until 1982. She was a member of First Christian Church, LifeBridge Christian Church and The Soroptimists Club, a ladies auxiliary. Her fondest love was for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time at the family cabin. Her hobbies included: raising flowers, sewing, shopping, shopping and more shopping. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Thomas Glenn Potter. She is survived by: a sister, Lorine Oliver of Durant, Okla.; a son Curtis L. Green, Jr. and his wife Connie of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters: Linda Law and her husband Mike of Longmont, Lorna Davis and her husband Ron of Wichita, Kan., and Kelly Mertens of Longmont; eight grandchildren: Casey Green and his wife April, Andi Green, Josh Law and his wife Amber, Abby Law, Aaron Stepp and his wife Jennifer, Spencer Stepp, Karly and Travis Mertens. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Colby, Chandler, and Carson Green and Raigan Stepp.Katherine is now reunited with her one true love. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 7 at 3 pm at Howe Mortuary, officiated by Steve Grant and Jan Dewlen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary of Longmont. A celebration of Katherine?s life will be held following the service at Left Hand Brewing Co., 1265 Boston Ave., formally Mr. Green?s Sausage.
