Kenneth George Converse was born near Flandreau, South Dakota on August 15, 1927. His parents were George and Elsie (McGilvra) Converse. His parents and two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty (Greene) Converse of Longmont, Colorado, four sons Scott, Michael and Brian Converse of Longmont, Colorado and Craig (Kate) Converse of Buckeye, Arizona, two grandchildren Heather Converse and Gregory Converse and one step grandchild Nicholas Zieser.He served in the Navy during World War II. He retired in 1991 after 35 years with IBM.His hobbies were reading, archery, fly fishing and watching football, especially the Broncos.He was a much loved and gentle man.A private family memorial service is planned.
