

Larry Reynolds passed away on May 26, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne Wyoming. He was 69 years old.Larry was born July 1, 1946 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Art and Cora (Johnson) Reynolds. He graduated from Montevideo Senior High School in 1964.Immediately upon graduating from high school Larry, his twin brother Gary, & best friend Terry Hanson all enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 26, 1964. While serving aboard the USS Wasp aircraft carrier Larry helped recover two astronauts from one of the Gemini missions following splashdown. He was Honorably discharged on Oct, 21, 1966.Larry married Charlotte Johnson and they were blessed with two children Brent and Alicia.In 1978, Larry & his family moved from Minnesota to Ft. Collins, CO. He later moved to the Longmont area and resided here until the time of his passing.Larry was an exceptional painter, trim carpenter and finisher in the construction business in this area for many years while working for C&I Coatings, when he retired in 2000.Larry enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. He also enjoyed putting puzzles together, fishing and was a really good bowler. He liked spending time with his family and friends, especially the camaraderie and support of Alcoholics Anonymous.Larry LOVED his trips to Minnesota every summer to go to the The Lake just to fish the day away. Larry used to say The Lake is calling I gotta go!!.Larry was a kind man with a heart as big as the world; he would do anything for anyone just because he could. He was a fun, loving and supportive brother. Always a friend to anyone. We will all miss him greatly. His infectious teasing & having fun attitude will be missed the most. Larry always had a smile on his face and made everyone around him feel good.He was preceded in death by his parents, Art in 1980 and Cora in 2004. Larry's twin brother Gary Reynolds passed away in 1989. Larry is survived by son Brent (Jodi) Reynolds, daughter Alicia Reynolds, sisters Pam Reynolds (Friend Craig Buckley), Linda (Dan) Lindahl, and Patricia (Jerry) Glisky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and friends at the Longmont Regent along with all of his brothers and sisters in AA. Larry had so many friends, I couldn't begin to count.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
