LeRoy G. Chambers of Platteville died May 17, 2016 at Brookdale Marianna Butte, Loveland, CO. He was 83.LeRoy was born on October 8, 1932 in Ft Lupton, CO to Clyde and Adeline (Decker) Chambers.LeRoy served in the United States Army. On March 17, 1951, he married Wilma Race in Westminster, Colorado. They moved to the Longmont area in 1979. LeRoy owned and operated Port-a-Stall of Frederick, CO.LeRoy was a family man. He raised and ran race horses and enjoyed traveling to Alaska. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.LeRoy is preceded in death by his wife Wilma in 1998, his parents, and three sisters “ Dorothy Ziebarth, Shirley Howell, and Gloria Bauer.LeRoy is survived by a son, Mark Chambers (Melissa); a daughter, Sandy Winsett (Randy); four grandchildren, McKenzie Chambers, Mason Chambers, Stacy Sharp (Brad), and Adam Winsett (Laura); four great grandchildren, Ryan and Jeremy Sharp and Adeline and Grant Winsett; and one sister, Barbara Fohrd.A memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
