Linda grew up in Sacramento, California. After high school she studied English at Sacramento State University and served a mission to Chile. After her mission she met Doug Altman while living at home in Sacramento, California. Doug and Linda were married in 1965 in the Oakland Temple and she became Linda Altman. Linda and Doug moved to San Luis Obispo, California where Linda worked as a high school English teacher and department chair. She loved teaching and after leaving the profession to foster, adopt, and raise children, she continued teaching in Sunday School and Relief Society, supporting her family at home as they moved to San Jose, New Mexico, and Minnesota, until 1981 when the family settled in Longmont, Colorado. In Longmont, Linda became a custodian for her church for several years and considered it a daily service and act of devotion to her faith.
Linda enjoyed being active and was naturally competitive in whatever she pursued, whether a friendly game of tennis or Uno around the kitchen table. She had an incredible work ethic and her presence in any activity or undertaking pushed everyone involved to give their all, with Linda being the first to start and the last to stop.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and husband.
Linda had a deeply felt belief and faith in Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
At this time no services are being held.
