Linda was born on December 30, 1945 in Berkley, California to Robert Joseph Moore and Orclea “Rusty” Simpson Moore. The family moved to Grand Junction shortly after her birth where she was raised and educated.
Linda was a great mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was an avid cook, entertainer, reader and lover of life. When confronted with her cancer, she fought hard and valiantly to spend as much time as possible with her family and loved ones.
Linda worked for a number of years for Irwin & Hendricks Real Estate as a commercial property manager. She enjoyed monthly gatherings with her long time bridge group, staying together long after they quit playing cards. Her greatest joy was following her grandkids exploits and involvements.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Kristin Fleckenstein and her husband Glenn, and her daughter Laurie Bullock. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Evan, Matthew and Jackson Fleckenstein, and Abigail and Joseph Bullock.
Linda is also survived by her former husband, Donald Hammond who she married in Grand Junction on December 26, 1964; brother Larry Moore, sister-in-law Rosalie Moore; sister Nancy Silvers and nephew/nieces Paul Moore, Lisa Connor and Tawni Sandoval.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 26th at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the University of Colorado Hospital for their amazing care and compassion. Dr. Stephen Leong and Dr. Margaret Weirman worked tirelessly to support and help Linda.
