Lois R. Cole

Lois R. Cole, 79, passed away peacefully October 3, 2015 with her family at her side. She will be dearly missed by all and is survived by children Doug (Colette) Cole, Susan (Bob) Prater, David (Jenni) Cole and her beloved grandchildren Matthew and Michele Prater, Andrew and Jeffrey Cole, Brianna and Sean Cole. Lois was born December 6, 1935 and grew up in Flushing, NY and graduated from Adelphi College with a major in Speech Pathology and minor in Education. Lois and former husband, Peter Cole moved to Ph nix in 1962. Lois later worked for the Cartwright School District as a Speech Therapist for many years before retiring in 2002. During her retirement, Lois enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, participating in Toastmaster's, socializing with dear friends, and looked forward to get-togethers with the Lois Club. During her life, Lois was impacted by several major health issues and challenges but she had a fighting spirit that kept her going. She had a quick wit and was best known for her smile and infectious laugh. Her wish was to have a Life Celebration rather than a formal service. This celebration will be held at 2:30 PM on October 24th in Longmont, CO at Life Care Center where she lived for the last 8 years. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
