LouAnn Maret Lutter, a resident of Alachua, Florida, passed away on January 18, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 20, 1959, the eldest of five children to Ed and Danni (Baer) Lutter. After moving to Poughkeepsie, New York for a year while Ed completed job training for IBM, the family settled in Boulder, Colorado in 1966. Her journey took her from the foothills of Boulder, Colorado, to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada, and finally to the serene landscapes of Alachua, Florida.
She graduated from Boulder High School where she excelled in music and had many a jazz band solo on her alto saxophone. She also had a love for swing dance, and with her brother John, spent many nights on the local dance floors.
After high school she attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Science degree in Accounting. With over 20 years accounting experience throughout her career, she was always a dedicated and loyal employee. Her most recent job with Gleim Publishing in Gainesville, Florida was developing study and reference material in Accounting and Aviation. Previous jobs included Accounting Manager for Caesars Entertainment, Senior Corporate Account manager for SHFL Entertainment, a Controller for Stars and Stripes Air Tours, Las Vegas Helicopters and Blue Ribbon Dental, all located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She treasured her time in Florida particularly enjoying the beaches, her bible study group and the great outdoors at her home in Alachua.
During her difficult battle with lymphoma she purchased two beautifully beaded angels that she kept on the dash of her car. She said they reminded her of God’s unconditional love and beauty when she did not feel beautiful or even alive on the countless trips to doctors, hospital visits and treatments. She began to create angels and share them with family and friends. One day she shared her treatment story with a healthcare worker, Danielle, saying that she had “Pacman Warriors” running through her body destroying her cancer cells. Danielle shared her own story and that she believed she had “Pacman Angels” constantly cleansing her. It was then that LouAnn realized she wanted to share these angels with other women to give them hope and remind them of God’s love. She continued to make the angels throughout her seven year fight, brave warrior that she was, and shared them with as many as she could.
LouAnn is survived by her soul mate, whom she considered her spouse, Spencer Hale, Bonita Springs, FL; her mother, Joanne “Danni” (Baer) Lutter, Colorado Springs, CO; her siblings, Cindy (Steve) Crowder, Longmont, CO; John Lutter, Milliken, CO; Lynda Morrison, Monument, CO; and Michelle (Mike) Lee, Longmont, CO. She was a loving and devoted Aunt to nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Lutter, on March 1, 2014.
