
Anthony was born on February 27, 1938 in Denver to Anselmo Silva and Carolyn Candelaria Silva. Raised in Denver, he attended West High School and Denver School of Cosmetology.
Anthony married Vera Gomez in 1959 in Denver. She preceded him in death. He married Linda Waite Campbell on March 4, 1972 in Boulder.
Anthony was a hairdresser for 40 years, most recently operating Precision Hair Designers in Boulder, retiring in 1998. After retirement he kept busy working for the City of Boulder in their parking operations and at the Senior Center.
Anthony had many and varied interests. He enjoyed golfing with his son; he loved music, especially Jazz. He was a movie aficionado, watching and collecting movies, with a special interest in older features. He and his wife enjoyed traveling extensively and followed local sports teams, in particular the Rockies and the University of Colorado Buffaloes.
Preceding him in death are his parents, former wife and a brother Ernest Silva.
Surviving are his wife of Longmont; three sons Ken (Kim Johnson) Silva of Boulder, Jeff Silva of Broomfield, and Todd (Aga) Ramirez of Littleton; four daughters Susan (Jeff) Armstrong of Louisville, Valerie Silva of Littleton, Lisa (David) Bailey of Longmont, Dana (Glen) Gallegos of Longmont; a brother Donald Silva of Killeen, Texas; four sisters Jacqueline Burmood and Nancy Copp both of Westminster, Kathie Chavez of Littleton, and Jeanne Simpson of Arvada; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A cremation followed a private visitation.
Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
