Margaret was born June 1, 1916 in Hoisington, KS the daughter of James R and Eleanor (Lewis) Murphy. Following her high school graduation Margaret went on to attend college and graduate with a teaching degree. She married Wilbur Shepard Munger of July 10, 1938 in Concordia, KS.
Margaret was an art teacher, retiring in 1975. The family moved to Longmont in 1976 from Boston, MA. Margaret was an active member of the Foursquare Church.
Survivors include her sons Michael (Pamela) Munger of Longmont, CO, Timothy (Karen Mae) Munger of Ft. Collins, CO; her daughter Cathy (Richard) Castaneda, Shawnee, KS, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother James (Janet) Murphy, Phoenix, AZ and her sister Genevieve Foran, VA.
Preceding Margaret in death were her parents, her husband, one brother Joseph Murphy and two sisters June Murphy and Eleanor Norman.
No visitation will be held.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Howe Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
