

Margaret was born November 2, 1910 in Hygiene, Colorado the daughter of Joseph and Ana (Copeland) French.
On March 29, 1929 she married James Ottaway in Longmont, Colorado. They were married for 61 years before his death on November 22, 1990.
Her working life started at a young age because the French family farmed in the Hygiene area during the depression years. As an adult her career consisted of working the campaign at Great Western Sugar during WWII and she also worked for 30 years at the Kuner-Empson canning factory. She was a retired member of the Teamsters Union and a member of the First United Methodist Church from more than 50 years.
She is survived by her son Hal Ottaway of Fort Collins, CO and her daughter Joyce (Robert) Abrams of Loveland, CO and 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Frank, Louie, George and Charles French and her sisters Grace Henderson and Lila Bashor.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with David Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
