Margery Ellen Ryan

Margery Ellen Ryan of Longmont died April 12, 2010 at Longmont United Hospital.She was 88.Margery was born January 20, 1922 in Rawlins, Wyoming the daughter of Joseph and Kathleen (Robbins) Stratton. On December 7, 1942 she married Thomas Glenn Moffitt. On January 11, 1975 she married John W. Ryan.Margery worked for more than 30 years in banking, finishing her career as the assistant Vice President at the First National Bank of Farmington, N.M. She retired in 1974, and moved to Colorado in 1989. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Longmont. Survivors include her daughter Glenda (Jim) Boggess of Longmont and three grandchildren: Kevin (Carla) Clay, Curtis Clay and Lynette Grierson (Kevin) as well as 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three stepchildren, John (Ginnie), Van (Nancy), and Mary I. Ryan, and three step-grandchildren, Amy, Kelly, and Kimberly Ryan. Margery was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her brothers Joseph Norman Stratton, Paul Oswald Stratton, and her sisters Kathleen Mary Pettigrew and Sarah Jean Stratton.She will be loved and missed by all who knew her, including her special friends at Beatrice Hover Community.Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Service in Longmont.Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with Reverend Max Bailey officiating.
