Margie Irene Bliss

Margie Bliss of Longmont died March 23, 2009 at her residence. She was 82.Margie was born on January 14, 1927 in Wiggins, Colorado to Frank Little and Irene Schade Little. Raised on the farms in eastern Colorado the family moved a number of times during her youth. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1945. She attended and graduated from Denver School of Cosmetology.Margie was married to Kenneth L. Bliss on April 12, 1949 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado. They moved to Longmont in 1958. Margie opened Accent Beauty Salon in 1962. Her shop was downtown Longmont located on 4th Ave between Main and Coffman St. She would move her shop to her residence on west 9th Ave in 1967, where she operated her business until her retirement in 2001.She attended LifeBridge Christian Church and more recently Harvest Church. Preceding her in death was her husband.Surviving her are two sons Rockie Bliss and his wife Patricia and Dirk Bliss all of Longmont; four grandchildren Brandon, Brody, Joel and Kristeen Bliss; and five great grandchildren Remington, Gunnar, Calleigh, Ariana and McKenzie.Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Monday, March 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Brody Bliss of the First Christian Church, Buffalo, Oklahoma officiating.
