Marie A. Carroll, 84, of Longmont, CO passed away September 16, 2014. Marie was born on September 21, 1929 in New York City, NY to William and Margaret (Sheppard) Martin. Marie was a strong, determined lady living in Hell's Kitchen, New York City during the Great Depression.Marie married Robert Bob W. Carroll on April 26, 1953 in Astoria, Queens, New York. She was a homemaker and a CNA. Marie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion, Life Member of VFW, Longmont Elks Lodge 1055 and the Moose Lodge 1548. Marie loved caring for babies and children, was an animal lover, and enjoyed cooking and caring for her home, traveling and going to Las Vegas.Marie was preceded in death by her husband Bob on August 4, 1999.Marie is survived by her 4 sons, Robert W. & Diane Carroll, Arthur D. & Kay Carroll, Brien J. Carroll and Daniel P. Carroll, her 6 grandchildren, Shawn Carroll, Gerard Carroll, Andrew Carroll, Tia J. Carroll, Keith Carroll and Daniel Carroll, 5 step-grandchildren, Rochelle & Omar Malik, Craig Cummins, Jessica & Mike Thompson, Brad Meade and Chris Meade, and 4 step-great-grandchildren, Aliyah Malik, Elijah Malik, Clyde Thompson and Margot Thompson.Visitation was from 5:30 “ 7:00pm, Thursday, September 18, 2014 with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am, Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
