Mrs. Owens was born February 11, 1918 in Germany to John and Ottilia (Rolder) Zebelein. Marie was a homemaker and worked for a time as a nanny. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, bowling and bingo. Marie was a member of St. Justin’s Catholic Church in Anaheim, CA and served her church by teaching catechism classes and doing laundry for the priests.
Marie is survived by her two stepdaughters, Vicki Jensen (David) of Berthoud, CO and Linda Moses of Frederick, CO. Her cousin Anthony Simotas of San Diego, CA. as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive her.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach, CA.
