Marie was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, where she graduated from Pueblo County High School. She later moved north to Boulder, CO with a later move to Lafayette, CO, and eventually settled in Dacono, CO. Her career was marked by her role as Manager of Food Services for the Boulder Valley School District, where she was known for her dedication and leadership.
On December 19, 1964, Marie married Dick Richards at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pueblo. As a military wife, she was accustomed to moving frequently, accompanying her husband wherever his career took them. Despite the frequent relocations, Marie never had difficulty making or retaining lifelong friends.
Marie was an active member of her community and attended both St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Boulder, CO for many years. She had a passion for gambling, cooking, and cheering for the Denver Broncos. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family. She cherished moments with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A fan of Neil Diamond, she was fortunate to attend several of his concerts.
Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Armond "Dick" Richards, and her children, Chuck Richards (Janelle), Terri Ditlow (Steve), and Ginger Conly (Greg), her brother, Charles "Bud" Todesco (Elizabeth). She was a devoted grandmother to Casey Von Seggern (Brian), Kyle Richards (Lanie), Johnathan Ditlow (Emilee), Dexter Conly, and Maisy Conly, and a loving great-grandmother to June Von Seggern, Fallon Richards, Emery Richards, and Lindy Von Seggern. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lucian Todesco, her mother, Virginia Louise Musso, and her sister, Kathryn Green (Robert), her sisters-in-law, Kathryn Goure (George) and Charlotte Whitmore (Robert).
Marie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
