Marilyn J. Weston

Marilyn J. Weston of Longmont, surrounded by family, died on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Sunny Acres Villas in Thornton. She was 76. Mrs. Weston was born July 10, 1935 to Paul and Olive (Leonard) Rawlings in Center Colorado. She graduated from Gunnison High School in 1953 and attended Western State College. On June 3, 1956, she married Howard H. Weston Jr. in Gunnison. She moved to Longmont in 1962 and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed Fishing, Bridge, the Red Hat Club, and playing slots. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her loving husband. Mrs. Weston is survived by two sons, Scott Weston and his wife Charlotte of Thornton, Jeff Weston and his wife Karena of Colorado Springs; a daughter Sandi Sanders and her husband Bill of Commerce City; a daughter in-law, Evelyn Weston of Longmont, a sister Paula Moore of Littleton; 11 nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Janel, Justin, Melissa, and Trevor, and 8 great grandchildren; Cole, Ashlyn, Tyler, Jacob, Emilee, Leif, Ryne, and Graeme.A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday April 27, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont. Private family interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are being handled by Ahlberg Funeral Home.
