Mike was born November 30, 1962 in Bakersfield, CA. the son of James and Redia (Hensley) Channell. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp, serving from 1979-1983, a portion of that time stationed in Beirut, Lebanon.
Michael had worked as a chef at several local restaurants. He enjoyed building military models, spending time in the mountains fishing and hiking, but especially enjoyed the time he spent with his children.
Preceding him in death were his parents and an uncle Buster Morton.
Survivors include his wife Keri Anderson and his children Kyleigh, Kaeden, and Kaelen Channell of Longmont, his aunt Velma Morton of Gower, MO and his cousins Ed and Shirley Wheeler, Sheila Mann and Dennis Morton, Danell (Danny) Hensley and several second cousins. He is further survived by his in-laws Bob and Linda Anderson; brother in law Jeff (Ronda) Anderson and their children, Samantha and Justin.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.
