Born on April 17, 1979, Michael grew up in Boulder, Colorado, where he developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong love for hands-on projects.
Michael attended Boulder High School and went on to study Building Trades, as well as CAD Drafting at Front Range. Over the years, he worked in residential and commercial painting, construction, and auto body repair. Known as a talented handyman, Michael was the kind of person who could “fix anything”.
He moved to Longmont around 2010, continuing his work as a journeyman in the trades. In his free time, Michael enjoyed motorcycles, bicycles, rock and mineral hunting, camping, carving, crafting, exploring, and building things. He also treasured the time spent with his children.
Michael is survived by his sons, Jordan Berscheidt of Mobile, Alabama, and Jasper Ayers of San Antonio, Texas; his daughters, Ava Truax of Colorado and Presley Elvey of Ward, Colorado; his grandson, Luca Ayers of San Antonio, Texas; his parents, Gordon Elvey of Boulder, Colorado, and Wendy Wills of Longmont, Colorado; his brothers, Brandon Elvey of Longmont and Jason Elvey of Greeley, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
