Michael B. Sahlin (Ikie), passed away on October 4, 2014. He was born March 15, 1953 in Embudo, NM. Mike was a skilled fisherman and skier. He loved to shoot guns, and certainly made his political views known. Mike was a hard worker, and the best and most loving father, husband, brother, uncle and father-in-law.
Michael had a degree in Geology, became a pipefitter and then became an HVAC Tech. He retired at age 58 and had been traveling with his wife, Marlys, to see more of the world. Michael is survived by Marlys, his wife of 34 years; two children and son-in-law, Nate, Sarah and Daniel Triana; and sister Beckie Stapleford, with her children Kenny and Heath.
A funeral service will be held at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont. A viewing will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
Michael was extremely loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial fund has been set up in his memory. Please see the following link:
