Mike Rickman

Mike Big Mike Rickman, 68, of Mead, CO passed away March 7, 2016 at the Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland, CO.He was born September 9, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas to Russell and Charlene (Nichols) Rickman. Mike grew up in Piggott and graduated from Piggott High School.Following high school Mike enlisted into the United States Army on October 11, 1966. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was Honorably discharged on October 3, 1969.Mike married Norma Johnson in 1975.He had a long career as an over the road truck driver.Mike was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. His biggest joy was riding his custom built Harley with his friends and family. He was an excellent pool player and liked going to the races at Colorado National Speedway.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma on May 11, 1994 and Brother Darrell Beckstead on March 17, 2001.Mike is survived by four children Donna Anfinson (Tracy), Teresa Dexter (Dale), Alex Rickman (Valerie Hendrickson) and Christopher Rickman, six grandchildren Elizabeth and Caroline Dexter and Dylan, Kane, Kayla and Alexis Rickman, and a soon to be born great grandson Bentley Duane.Memorial services will be held 2:00pm Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Inurnment at Foothills Gardens of Memory. Military honors by the United States Army and American Legion Post 32. There will be a reception for family and ALL friends who would like to attend. The reception will be held at Scooter Hinge Reception Hall at 333 Main St. Mead, CO 80542 from 4PM-6PM. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
