Mildred "Millie" Joan Degge

Mildred “Millie” Degge passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2026. Millie was born in Denver, Colorado, to Gustav and Jennie (Ganatta) Lind. She was raised in North Denver, and graduated from Holy Family High School.

Millie was married to Timothy Losh from 1960 to 1980, and then to Mike Degge in 1984 until his passing in 2004.

She made her home in Berthoud, Colorado, having moved there from Arvada in the 1970’s. Millie was a homemaker and worked in retail. With Mike, they owned and operated The Paving Company as well as Valley Real Estate and Appraisal in Firestone until her retirement in 2005.

Millie found joy in many things. She loved gambling, collecting and restoring antiques, and bowling. She cherished time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, including summer family vacations.

She is survived by her children Barb O’Mary (Dan), Tim Losh (Andy), Jerry Losh (Korina), and Sharon Krause; her siblings Gus Lind (Stella) and Jennie Jones; her grandchildren Jared Losh (Heather), Taylor Perdue (Catherine) Dylan Losh (Isabelle) Dani Krause, Alyssa Fleener (Matt), James Herbert (Claudia), Chris Herbert, Megan Oscarson (Chris), Melissa Stroup (Anthony), and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike Degge; her parents Gustav and Jennie; her sister Barbara Lind, and grandchildren Eric Losh (Julie) and Brandon Losh.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Millie’s honor to TRU Community Care. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 at 9:00AM at Howe Mortuary 439 Coffman St, Longmont, CO 80501 followed by the funeral service at 10:00AM and a light reception. Graveside service will be at 12:30PM the same day at Mount Pleasant Cemetery 520 Colliers Blvd, Erie, CO 80516.
