Our precious grandmother, mother, sister, and wife, Nancy Diamond, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2020. She will be greatly missed by all of us as she made a lasting impact on each of our lives.
Nancy was born in Richland, Washington on October 8, 1952 to Robert and Dortha Benham. After moving to Colorado with her family she married Robert Diamond on September 18, 1982. Nancy gave birth to her son, Matthew, and her daughter, Amanda. Her two children blessed her with four grandchildren: Daunte, Diego, Kaiya, and Adalina.
Nancy spent almost 7 years with her husband and two children on the mission field in the countries of Costa Rica and Mexico. In Guadalajara, Mexico she taught a first grade class at a private christian school. Her compassionate personality reached beyond her family to peoples of different cultures and languages.
Nancy also worked as a beautician, a clerk at retail stores, and lastly at a local bank, where she gained some lasting friendships, before retiring due to health issues. In retirement she spent all her energy in taking care of her immediate family. One of the things she really enjoyed doing was going to a restaurant with all the family members to celebrate one of their birthdays.
Nancy loved Jesus and enjoyed attending church. She was blessed to experience the presence of the Lord in both English and Spanish worship services. Her love for Jesus spilled over into her love for others. She was the kindest and most gracious person that we as family members have ever known. Her actions, words, and personality all perfectly demonstrated her name, which means “grace.”
She is survived by her husband, son, daughter, four grandchildren, and her brother John, as well as aunts and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
We love you, Nancy!
