

Nancy Coulter Myers died January 3, 2025, following a stroke in her home on Christmas Day. She was born to Bern and Esther Scott Coulter in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on 12/13/1934.
She graduated from Bridgeport HS in 1952 and earned a BA in History from the University of Nebraska in 1956.
She had three children, Richard, Ann, and Scott. After a divorce, she went back to school to obtain teacher certification from Colorado University, and then perfected her craft as a 3rd grade teacher in the St. Vrain Public School District, where she served as a mentor to many.
She married Ben Younglove, considered by her family to be the best thing that ever happened to Nancy.
Nancy loved to learn and enjoyed a close group of friends. She was active in her hiking group, the Day Trippers group, two book clubs, the Ramblin’ Rose Red Hat group, and she joined a mahjong group at 80. She carefully studied the history and culture of each of the many countries to which she traveled.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents; her daughter, Ann; and her brother, Calvin.
She is survived by her husband, Ben; her sons, Richard and Scott Myers; her sister, Madelyn Anderson; her stepson, Bruce (Fancy); and her grandchildren, David and Katie.
She leaves behind a devoted group of friends. There will be a Celebration of Life, Saturday, April 5, 10:30-1, at the Izaak Walton Clubhouse in Longmont.
