

Nicola R. Di Paolo “Nick”, 74, of Longmont died July 3, 2022 in Aurora, CO. He was born July 9, 1947 in Longmont, CO to Loreta (D’Orazio) and Paul Di Paolo. He grew up in Frederick, CO and graduated from Longmont High School in 1965. Following his graduation, he attended Community College. He was drafted to the Army during the Vietnam War. He did a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1969-1971. Nick graduated from Colorado State College (Now University of Northern Colorado) In 1973, with a B.A in Geography.
On August 16, 1980, Nick married Janice A. Veasey and they resided in Longmont. Nick worked as the Fleet Manager for Longmont Ford until his retirement in 2016.
Nick loved fishing and golf. He took trips every fall to visit family in Italy or to enjoy the relaxation of taking a cruise. At home, he loved to work in the garden and get together with his buddies for a game of poker.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Janice DiPaolo and his stepson Gary Guttridge. He is further survived by his sister Marianna Di Paolo and her son, Sean Ranson; sister Joan Quispe (Esteban) and their children Amy Quispe (Jonathan Paulson), Jonghee Quispe, KayJoon Quispe (Ishmael Nausrudeen) and their daughters Qunaita and Jauhara Nausrudeen, Konce Quispe, and Grace Quispe AND THEIR CHILDREN; sister Lucia Di Paolo (Lyman Spencer), and his grandson Daemen Guttridge. There are also multiple cousins and his best friend Joe DeSantis left to mourn his passing.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory. A celebration of life will be held on July 24, 2022 from 11 AM to 5 PM at Thompson Park (West Side Park 5th Avenue and Bross.)
