Patricia Ann Haggerty
21 junio , 1944 – 10 enero , 2021
Patricia (Pat) Ann Haggerty, 76, of Longmont, died January 10, 2021 at Applewood Living Center of Longmont.
Pat was born on June 21, 1944 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Edward Lambert and Helen King Lambert. She grew up in Scranton where she attended Holy Rosary Catholic High School. Following a charming romance, Pat married the love of her life, Robert Michael Haggerty, on November 26, 1966, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. They enjoyed 47 years full of happiness, dancing, and being surrounded by friends and family.
Pat moved to Longmont with her family in 1976. Here, Pat found her calling working with seniors at Applewood Living Center in various roles, most notably as the Activity Director. In 1990, Pat helped open Life Care Living Center of Longmont. Pat’s dedication to senior residents was demonstrated in everything she did from planning special events and even hosting picnics at her own home. Pat had a passion for entertaining like no other and was known for her infamous St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas Eve parties. Pat enjoyed sharing her remarkable gift for cooking with all her friends and family by always making more than enough food to share. Pat’s family was the center of her world and she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, a sister, Judi Pentico, and son-in-law, Scott Dreyfuss. Surviving are her children; Kim Dreyfuss of Loveland; Robert (Nicole) Haggerty Jr. of Frederick; brother-in-law, Terry Pentico of Longmont; and grandchildren Kayla Dreyfuss, Riley Haggerty, and Tavan Haggerty. Pat is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

I was blessed to meet Pat when I was only in high school. She had me and a few of my dance students come perform at Applewood Care Facility. Little did I know she was introducing me to my calling.
What a privilege it was to then work with Pat many years later, when together we helped open Life Care Center of Longmont. I, as the social worker and she as the activity director and mentor to many. Including me.
Pats smile and laugh will forever be ingrained in my mind. She taught me how to love by her example and left her heart prints all over mine.
I’m a better person for having met Pat Haggerty and the entire Haggerty family. They love everyone like family and I will forever be grateful I was on the receiving end of their love.

Kim- you know how very very much your mom meant to me! She was the mom I truly did not have, even if it wasn’t always pretty...
I will never apply blush without remembering to make my ‘fish face’! I will never forget the Christmas Eve’s, the Sunday dinners, the drive-thru trips, the full day shopping trips, the fashion show, the volunteering for events at Applewood, the fun at the pool, the tea bags on my feet after I burned them, the cheering us both on at Swim Meets, the scary movies and the screaming and then the purposeful jabs to get us to scream more...I could go on forever!
Pat and Bob both took my babies as their own, and assured they knew how special they were to them! She was your mom, and you shared her with an open heart with me, and the world, and I will forever be grateful to you for sharing her, and for Pat being the mom I needed when I needed her the most....always!
Love forever, Gwen

Pat was a wonderful caring and funny person. She always greeted people warmly and made them feel welcome by asking about something she knew they were interested in. I will miss her!

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with your mother at what is now Applewood in the late 70's and met her again in the early 90's when she was at Life Care. She was always a wonderful friend and co-worker.

Pat, just look at how pretty you are in this photograph. You were always pretty, knew how to dress and frankly, had a lot of class. You and Bob were so full of life and fun, the two of you frankly take honors in that regard. And boy, could you guys ever dance!! You had a knack for taking care of all people. It seems as though you were always there doing something for somebody. I remember how you doted on Sally during her last couple of months. Sally did, and I did also, notice that you took care of her in so many many ways. Also, you took it upon yourself to help the people who were homeless in Longmont. No doubt you were an enormous asset. No doubt you made a lot of friends there. One thing that I truly enjoyed about you and Bob were that you both had a phenomenal sense of humour. I laughed at you, and you laughed back. You guys were always "quick on the tongue," and how rare is that, really?? You were and always will be a beautiful person, Pat, inside and out. May you and Bob enjoy your love for all eternity. My best to the entire Haggerty clan. Judy White

Kim and Bobby
I'll always remember your mom's contagious laugh and the overwhelming Thanksgiving meals with your family. When we took trips to the mountains, she feared heights so that she would cover her head! We would all tease her about missing the beauty out there. Of course, she would just laugh!! She cherished her family and cared for so many others. Be at peace with all of the good memories.

I remember when Bob was helping Pat learn how to drive in the parking lot at Life Care Center of Longmont. Once she learned how to drive, the world became her oyster. She went everywhere.

This is the beautiful face I remember so well. I remember the visits we made and how welcome you always made us feel. I have wonderful memories of our younger years together Pat and how we laughed and cried together. I loved being a part of the Haggerty clan and those memories will always be with me. Fly high with Angel's my dear sister in-law and know that I will always love you. Please give Jer and everyone else a hug from me. Until we meet again. I love you. Mary Ann

Aunt Pat was the kindest most generous woman I have ever know . She was a strong Irish woman who was raised to believe that nothing mattered more than family. It was the very core of her being.
She adored you Kim, Bobby and Nicole. When it came to Kayla, Riley and Tavan....you could just see her eyes light up when she spoke of them. You all were her pride and joy.
She will be so missed. Missed beyond measure...but never forgotten. She will live on with us all. In life’s big moments and the little ones as well. Her presence will always be there.
We’ll meet you further on up the road, Aunt Pat. The road , that without doubt , has risen up to meet you.
Love to you all. Xoxo
